For three years now, my husband Daniel and I have worked together to bring life to this vintage passion of mine. In that time, we’ve learned a lot about collaboration–perfecting poses, telling a story with the camera, and tying it all together in the written form.

Daniel acts not only as photographer for Beautiful Day, but as my soundboard and supporter. When I become doubtful of my blog’s purpose or even of my writing in general, he reminds me what this space means to me:

Vintage should be for everyone.

No matter your level of label knowledge, your age, your budget, or any other factor, if you have an interest in vintage you should pursue it to whatever degree you can. Whether you wear all-vintage everything, have just one special piece, or are simply along for the ride on my vintage journey, I’m glad you’re here.

It’s truly a thrill to detail and preserve these amazing garments of the past by photographing and blogging about them. It’s a beautiful time to let these pieces see the sun; to seek, wear, share, and display the styles that once were.
